Video Description

This disc continues the historical video segments beginning with World War II. The first three describe the major campaigns fought in Micronesia: the US invasion of the Marshall Islands, the assault on the Marianas, and the attack on Angaur and Peleliu in Palau. The end of the war brought transitions for everyone-the reconstruction work needed everywhere to permit the recovery of the islands, and the long exile of Marshallese as their islands became testing grounds for nuclear bombs. Another set of segments offers a look at life during the Trust Territory: immediately after the war, during the 50s, and then during the 60s, and finally during the 70s when towns rebuilt almost to former pre-war size. The last two video segments track the preparations for self-government and the selection of the early political leaders.

I disagree that Jesus says, "Come to me I will give your rest," is not a calling to religions or system." But where can I go to Jesus to rest if he is not inviting us to a Religon or a system to follow? What about the church which is the body of christ? Isn't it that that is the religion, the system he wants us to come to rest in? I do believe that he does call us to his Church, his Body, where we can experience his Love throught the Sacraments in the church given by Jesus.

Posters of Micsem: Very interesting comments on this particular item. Out of these postings I will have to say that Juarha's shared piece will linger on my heart and will certainly be a continuous item or items to consider in prayers now and in the future. Very cleverly put together; but powerful and self incriminating not to just the individual but our society of today as a whole. As far as the biblical verse that stand out in my mind on reading these is...John 3:16. Thanks to all posters and thank you Juarha for sharing this gem of a prayer. micro at LARGE

invitation is coming to close just like before the flood, Noah preached for 120 years and the door of the ark was opened for everone to come in and safe from the flood. only 8 people were safe, Noah, his wise, three sons and their wives. there was about a billion populion of earth that time. choose life and decide God's side before it's too late. Joshua 24:15 (New International Version) 15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

H, Just like the wind that keeps you cool so is God who gave you the breath that ur taking....you cant see him but he exists..second, how can you prove there is no God???.....if you can tell us......third.....your very existence on this earth is proof that there is a God......How did you form yourself in ur mother's womb?...last, our suffering or our joys are dependent on our choices we make not on God.Yes he has control but..he respects our choices......dont blame God for ur poor choices.....esp now that ur choosing to be antiGod.
